What Is A Macaron?
A macaron – or sometimes called a French macaroon – is made out of meringue, using egg white, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond meal and food coloring. They’re typically made to sandwich a filling of some kind. It was originally introduced in France by the Italian chef of queen Catherine de Medici during the Renaissance hundreds of years ago during the 14th century.
British chocolatier Hotel Chocolat have just revealed two brand new flavors for their already popular macarons.
Today, almost all macarons are crafted to be as light as air and Hotel Chocolate are experts at crafting these treats.
